Chimes District of Columbia is one of the nation’s largest employers of people with severe disabilities through federal contracts obtained through Ability One and NISH. A national nonprofit agency, NISH helps Chimes and other disability-related organizations obtain federal contracts that provide competitive employment for workers with severe disabilities.
Through federal contracts secured by Chimes, individuals with disabilities are employed at a diverse range of federal agencies and commercial enterprises, including Baltimore-Washington International Airport, the Library of Congress, the Pentagon, and the University of Maryland.
In the corporate sector, Chimes provides custodial and mailroom services.
Chimes DC extends its expertise with federal contracts and end-to-end fiscal and operations management by providing these specialized services to commercial businesses and government-affiliated agencies that employ workers with severe disabilities.
